Qualifications

• Proven experience in large quantity food preparation and food purchasing.
• Experience in a unionized environment leading a large food services team.
• Familiarity with Ontario Food Premises Regulation and Long Term Care Homes Act.

At Schlegel Villages, our Food Service Managers provide leadership in the preparation and serving of food, maintaining the food services department in a clean manner that meets or exceeds all standards prescribed by Public Health and Ministry of Health inspections. The Food Services Manager is responsible for ensuring that the dietary and nutritional requirements of all residents are met, with regular assessments completed.

The Village of Ridgeview Court, located in Milton, Ontario, offers an exciting opportunity for a Food Services Manager to join our Long-Term Care Team, starting in the Summer of 2025.

To be successful as our new Food Services Manager, you will:

• Have proven experience in large quantity food preparation, food purchasing, and financial planning
• Experience leading and inspiring a large food services team in a unionized environment
• Be familiar with Ontario Food Premises Regulation, CCHSA, Ontario Long Term Care Facility Program manual, Long Term Care Homes Act, and OH&S Act
• Be an active member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (C.S.N.M.)
