Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare, present, and serve meals while maintaining quality and presentation standards. You will perform prep work, food handling, and service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and sanitation compliance.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, operating cash register when needed, and supporting a team that delivers healthful meals across healthcare, hotel, or food service settings.

Qualifications

• FoodSafe Level 1 certification is required.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle a heavy workload.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written; able to follow instructions.
• Previous food service experience is a plus.
• Physical ability to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables.
• Carry food and equipment safely between stations.
• Store and rotate food following safety procedures.
• Set up items for daily purchase and service.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service and handle cashiering if needed.
• Ensure sanitation and safety compliance across all duties.
