Compass Group Canada is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare, present and serve meals with a focus on quality and presentation. The role includes prep work, stocking, cash-handling support, and delivering great customer service in a health-conscious environment.

Ideal candidates will hold FoodSafe Level 1, have strong English communication, and be capable of working independently or in a team to manage a busy workload. Healthcare/food service experience is a plus.

Formación

• FoodSafe Level 1 Certification is required.
• Familiar with the use of a cash register is an asset.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle heavy workload.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written, with ability to follow instructions.
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food is an asset.
• Physical ability to perform duties of the position.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, present and serve meals, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Perform prep work: wash, peel, cut and seed fruits and vegetables.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays to/from stations while following safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas with proper wrapping, dating and rotation.
• Set up items for daily purchase and service in all retail areas.
• Perform general cleaning and remove trash to designated areas.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Use approved recipes and production standards for portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner per steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay information to supervisor.
• Ensure sanitation and safety compliance.
