Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare, present, and serve meals while maintaining high quality and presentation standards. The role includes handling cash register duties, daily setup, and ensuring proper sanitation and safety across all retail areas.

Successful candidates will have FoodSafe Level 1, strong English communication, and the ability to work both independently and in a team to manage heavy workloads during shifts.

Qualifications

• FoodSafe Level 1 certification is required.
• Familiar with using a cash register is an asset.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, present and serve meals with attention to quality and presentation.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays between stations safely.
• Store food with proper wrapping, dating and rotation.
• Set up items for daily purchase and service.
• Perform general cleaning duties and trash removal.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Notify supervisors of temperature or safety issues and ensure sanitation compliance.
