A healthcare organization in Tofino, BC, is seeking an individual for food service duties including preparation, portioning, and serving food in the cafeteria. The role requires effective communication and organizational skills, along with a Grade 10 education and relevant experience. This position plays a key role in maintaining patient safety and service quality.
In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Vancouver Island Health Authority patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA and as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Under the direction of the Manager or designate, performs a variety of routines relative to preparation, portioning and serving food items in the cafeteria. Oversees the collection and receipt of cash and/or meal tickets for items purchased in the hospital cafeteria.
Education, Training And Experience
Grade 10, plus one year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
