Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in inspection, service, and troubleshooting.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract.
  • Clean criminal record check required.

ATCO Fire Prevention Services (AFPS), a division of ATCO Frontec, is expanding its Calgary operations and seeking Red Seal Journeyperson Electricians / CFAA Certified Techniciansand Fire Extinguisher Certified Techniciansto join our growing team.

AFPS is a multi-discipline fire and life safety company offering inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair services for fire alarms, sprinklers, special hazard systems, extinguishers, and emergency lighting. Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair deficiencies per applicable codes and standards
  • Complete detailed inspection reports and documentation
  • Maintain a clean, stocked company vehicle
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
Additional Duties May Include:
  • Material pickup and estimating
  • Out-of-town travel as required
  • Assisting with non-fire alarm tasks under supervision
Qualifications
  • Red Seal Journeyperson (Electrical) and/or CFAA certification (in good standing)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in inspection, service, and troubleshooting
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract
  • Clean criminal record check
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Physically capable of ladder work, lifting, kneeling, and working at heights
  • Familiarity with Fire System Solutions equipment is an asset
Assets (Not Required)
  • Cross-connection control certification
  • Fire extinguisher certification
  • First Aid, aerial work platform, and fall arrest training
  • Experience with other fire/life safety systems
