Job summary

Johnson Controls Canada is seeking Inspectors to perform routine inspections, testing, service and preventive maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines and similar competitive products.

You will work with low-voltage wiring, complete service acknowledgements, and follow a structured inspection schedule. You will input and archive documents, perform minor repairs, and provide training to junior inspectors while ensuring timely completion of inspections.

Qualifications

• CFAA Certification and high school diploma required.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Climb ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Commitment to safety policies and obtaining required licenses.
• Strong customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Inspect routine inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance on life safety product lines.
• Work with low-voltage wiring and related devices.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding.
• Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes to inspected systems.
• Provide technical training to junior inspectors and trainees.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
