Job summary

Johnson Controls in Canada is seeking inspectors to perform routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety products. The role involves low-voltage wiring work, documenting inspections, and providing training to junior staff.

Candidates should have CFAA Certification, a high school diploma, and experience reading plans and operating tools.

Qualifications

• Requires CFAA Certification.
• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals and specs.
• Experience with hand tools and multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical, sprinkler or suppression lines through routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance.
• Work with low-voltage wiring and related devices for operation of low-voltage equipment.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding using laptops or hard copy.
• Maintain a structured inspection schedule and archive documents.
• Perform minor repairs and programming changes to inspected systems.
• Provide technical training to junior inspectors and trainees.
• Complete inspections on time and perform other duties as assigned.
