Job summary

Johnson Controls in Hamilton, ON, Canada is seeking an Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines. The role requires CFAA Certification, a high school diploma, and 5+ years of Fire Alarm experience, with ability to read blueprints and operate hand tools and a multimeter.

Qualifications

• Must possess troubleshooting aptitude and ability to diagnose and repair life-safety systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals and specifications.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical, sprinkler or suppression life-safety product lines and perform routine inspections.
• Test and service life-safety equipment and document results.
• Complete service acknowledgements and maintain inspection schedules.
• Input and archive inspection data via laptop or paperwork.
• Perform minor repairs and programming changes as needed.
