Job summary

Johnson Controls in Vancouver, BC is seeking an Experienced Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team. The role involves conducting routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on life-safety product lines, including electrical and sprinkler systems, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has ASTTBC certification with AL/EM/EX, hands-on experience with low-voltage wiring, and strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

ASTTBC certification with AL, EM, and EX.
Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs.
Hands-on use of hand tools and multi-meter.
Strong troubleshooting and repair abilities.
Proficiency with PC software including MS Excel/Word.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance on life-safety product lines.
Work with low-voltage wiring and devices for operation of equipment.
Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via laptop.
Offer technical guidance and training to other inspectors.
Maintain inspection schedules and ensure timely completion.
