FINANCIAL SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE

Reports To: Assistant Branch Manager

Primary Purpose

The Financial Services Representative (FSR) plays a key role in the branch by providing financial solutions and exemplary member service related to deposit and investment products and services. They are often the primary contact for both existing and new members, fostering relationships through service excellence and product knowledge specific to deposit and investment offerings.

Key Accountabilities

Member Service

• Delivers financial solutions to members by offering a range of deposit and investment products. May assist with simple lending needs such as small lines of credit and RRSP loans.
• Possesses knowledge of all Northern Savings financial products and services to facilitate referrals to retail and Business Services, wealth management, and insurance (life, property, and casualty).
• Owns member issues and complaints, resolving or referring as appropriate.
• Maintains a professional image to members and internal staff.
• Markets the benefits of membership to non-members to grow the member base.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma required; post-secondary education, sales training, and CU-specific courses are assets.

Experience

Previous sales, service, and financial services experience are required.
