Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee large-scale infrastructure projects across British Columbia, with a home base in Squamish BC.

A well-established consultancy is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead field operations on a remote infrastructure project near Squamish, BC. This is a rotational role with full travel support and accommodations provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee construction execution for large, multi-disciplinary projects with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule.
  • Develop and implement site-specific execution and safety plans.
  • Support schedule and budget development and tracking.
  • Liaise with clients, engineering teams, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage RFIs, change orders, and directives.
  • Respond to health, safety, and environmental incidents.
  • Lead resolution of technical and constructability challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and construction standards.
  • Coordinate field activities and subcontractor performance.
  • Manage logistics for mobilization, travel, and site operations.
  • Provide regular progress updates and trend forecasts to leadership.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent technical background).
  • 10–12 years of construction experience, including 6+ years in a senior site leadership role.
  • Experience in resource sector projects (e.g., mining, oil & gas); marine construction is a strong asset.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and design-build delivery models.
  • Proficiency in project tools such as Microsoft Office, Procore, IDoc’s, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • PMP or Professional Engineer designation is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French / English) is an asset.
  • Willingness to work night shifts and travel full-time during rotation.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00 / hr.

Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Fort McMurray, AB.
