Job summary

Finning, the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer, seeks two Mining Technical Service Representatives – Shovels and Drills to support mining customers across Canada. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, performing audits, providing recommendations and coordinating service support to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic, Millwright, Engineer, or equivalent mining equipment experience.
• Minimum 5 years of customer-facing experience in mining, heavy equipment or industrial operations.
• Valid class 5 drivers license.
• Strong knowledge of shovels and drills.
• Caterpillar equipment experience is considered a strong asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization, planning and time management abilities.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with mining customers and act as a trusted technical advisor.
• Schedule and conduct customer site visits, equipment inspections and technical reviews.
• Assess shovel and drill machine health and provide detailed analysis and recommendations.
• Prepare customer reports and communicate opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
• Coordinate with Finning’s Parts and Service teams to ensure required components and support are delivered on time.
• Identify potential equipment issues before failures occur and recommend corrective action.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and operational support.
