Job summary

Potenco in Canada is seeking a Security Systems Field Service Technician to install, maintain and troubleshoot electronic security systems at client sites across multiple locations.

This on-site role requires relocation if outside provinces, and may include on-call duties to handle after-hours emergencies. The position offers growth within a leading global security solutions provider and opportunities for hands-on training.

Qualifications

• Certification(s) required: Milestone, Genetec or C-Cure.
• 1–3 years of field service or installation experience in electronics security.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain electronic security systems (access control, video surveillance, alarms).
• Respond to service calls and resolve issues promptly.

Security Systems Field Service Technician

This is NOT a remote role. It requires on-site work at project/site locations. Candidates must be willing to relocate if outside of these provinces.

We are seeking Field Service Technicians to join this dynamic team and support security system installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain electronic security systems (access control, video surveillance, alarms, etc.).
• Respond to service calls based on priority and resolve system issues efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with company standards while performing installations and repairs.
• Provide expert recommendations to clients regarding system usage and maintenance.
• Document service activities, issue reports, and maintain inventory of repair parts.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Required Qualifications

Certification (Must have at least one): Milestone, Genetec, C-Cure.

Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of recent field service or installation experience in an electronic security company.

Logistics & Working Conditions

• Candidates must be willing to relocate to any of the required areas if outside of the map.
• Eligible to work in Canada without restrictions (Citizens and valid PR holders will be prioritized)
• Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis, covering after-hours & weekend emergency calls.
• Ability to work on call and out of town when necessary
• Climb ladders that extend up to 24 ft. in height
• Carry items up to 75 pounds.
• Experience preferred in working with boom and scissor lifts
