Job summary

Kendrix Technologies in Mississauga is seeking a Lead Security Systems Technician to support field operations and installations across commercial and residential sites. This role requires hands-on experience with CCTV, access control, intrusion, and low‑voltage systems.

Travel within the Greater Toronto Area is expected, and a company vehicle or vehicle allowance is provided. Ideal candidates have strong electronics knowledge, troubleshoot effectively, and can mentor junior technicians on site.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electronics devices and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use test equipment including multimeters, network testers, and scanners.

Responsibilities

• Install CCTV, access control, intrusion, ULC Fire/Monitoring, intercom systems and structured cabling.
• Integrate door operators, overhead doors and CCTV with card access systems.
• Perform software installation and updates for security platforms.
• Work off ladders, scissor lifts, and boom trucks on field installations.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with other trades on job sites.
• Configure networks (DNS, LAN, WAN, DHCP, TCP/IP) and firewall rules; update firmware and patches.
• Complete test/commissioning reports, deficiency reports, and work orders.
• Train clients and end users on installed platforms; mentor junior staff.

Position Overview

Kendrix is seeking a skilledSenior Installation Technicianto support our field operations team. This role is ideal for a technician who is comfortable working independently on installations, understands best practices in electronic security systems, and can support junior technicians onsite when required.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Education:

• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience.

  • Avigilon ACC and ACM

• Strong knowledge of electronics Devices and strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to use test equipment including but not limited to Multi Meters, Network testers, network scanners
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
