Job summary

Toromont Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment to travel to customer sites in a Toromont Service truck and provide superior service and product expertise to maintain high standards that ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner with the utmost integrity.

You will diagnose mechanical problems on Caterpillar equipment, perform repairs both in the shop and in the field, and maintain strong customer relationships through regular on-site visits.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of field and shop repair experience on heavy equipment.
• Valid 421A Heavy Equipment Technician license per provincial standards.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar systems (ET/SIS) is beneficial.
• DZ preferred and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems on Caterpillar equipment using testing equipment.
• Perform repairs in the field and in the shop to meet time standards.
• Maintain safety and high-quality workmanship on-site and with customers.
• Build trusted customer relationships through regular on-site visits.

Pay Type

Full Time, Permanent

Compensation

$36.58 to $44.42

Must-haves for this role:

• A valid 421A Heavy Equipment Technician License relative to this position, following Provincial standards
• Minimum 3 years of experience in repair and service of heavy equipment both in the shop and in the field
• Familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS would be beneficial)
• A valid Driver’s Licence (DZ Licence preferred)
