Job summary

Toromont Cat is seeking a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment to service Caterpillar equipment directly at customer sites using a Toromont Service truck. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure timely, safe maintenance on-site.

The role requires post-secondary education in heavy duty mechanics, a minimum of 3 years' repair experience on mining heavy equipment, 421A licensure, and familiarity with CAT ET and SIS; a DZ license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in heavy duty mechanics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in repair and service of mining heavy equipment (ideally underground mining equipment).
• Currently 421A licensed.
• Familiarity with CAT systems (ET and SIS) an asset.
• A valid Driver's License (DZ License preferred).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment and leverage top tier technical skills.
• Maintain quality workmanship and repair Caterpillar equipment within established time standards on-site.
• Maintain excellent communication and trusted customer relationships through regular on-site visits.
• Demonstrate safe and environmentally sound work practices at all times.

Job description

Toromont Cat is looking for a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment to go directly to customer site in a Toromont Service truck and provide superior service and product expertise to maintain high standards that ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner with the utmost integrity.

Pay Type

Full Time, Permanent

Compensation

$51.46 - $55.24

Must-haves for this role:

• Completed a post secondary education in a field related to heavy duty, heavy engine or heavy vehicle mechanics?
• Minimum 3 years of experience in repair and service of mining heavy equipment (ideally underground mining equipment)
• Currently 421A licensed
• Familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS) an asset
• A valid Driver's License (DZ License preferred)
