Job summary

Toromont Cat is seeking a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment to service customer sites across Eastern Canada. You will operate from a Toromont Service truck and provide expert repairs with a strong focus on safety, integrity and timely delivery.

The role requires minimum 3 years in mining heavy equipment repair, a 421A license, and a valid DZ (preferred). You will diagnose issues using Caterpillar testing equipment and maintain excellent client relationships through on-site visits.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education in heavy duty/heavy vehicle mechanics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience repairing and servicing mining heavy equipment (ideally underground).
• Currently 421A licensed (if awaiting exam, still apply).
• Familiarity with Cat ET and SIS is an asset.
• Valid Driver’s License (DZ license preferred).

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment and leveraging top tier technical skills.
• Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within established time standards out in the field, with on-site customer communication.

Toromont Cat is looking for a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment to go directly to customer site in a Toromont Service truck and provide superior service and product expertise to maintain high standards that ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner with the utmost integrity.

Pay Type

Full Time, Permanent

Compensation

$51.46 - $55.24

Must-haves for this role:

• Completed a post secondary education in a field related to heavy duty, heavy engine or heavy vehicle mechanics?
• Minimum 3 years of experience in repair and service of mining heavy equipment (ideally underground mining equipment)
• Currently 421A licensed ( If close to challenging exam, please apply anyways)
• Familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS) an asset
• A valid Driver’s License (DZ License preferred)
