Job description

Locations : Fort McMurray, AB; Calgary, AB; Edmonton, AB; Remote / Hybrid

Purpose of Role :

The Field Service Engineer will support our Motion Metrics technology by working with customers to provide proactive support, perform preventative maintenance, and resolve field issues. The primary focus will be supporting Motion Metrics customers in the Canadian Oil Sands, with additional support for installations and initiatives across North America.

Key Responsibilities :

• Technical Support : Provide technical assistance to internal teams and customers, including system installation, support, commissioning, and maintenance at mining sites. Remotely access client servers to evaluate system performance.
• Customer Service : Build and maintain relationships, prioritize field activities, support customers, prepare status reports, inform maintenance teams of upcoming tasks, and seek feedback for continuous improvement.
• Communication : Maintain effective communication with the Global Support Team regarding technical issues. Conduct on-site training to help integrate the system into customer operations across multiple functions.
• Proactive Problem Solving : Perform root cause analysis, improve system reliability, and run reports regularly to prepare for site visits.
• Safety First : Demonstrate a 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors and support our safety culture.

Job Knowledge, Education, and Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree or Technical College Diploma in Engineering Technology, IT, or Software Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in a field support role within industrial environments
• Mining / aggregates industry experience preferred
