Skills Provision is searching for a Field Service Engineer for a company in Canada.

Location : Calgary Canada

Position : Permanent

Salary & Benefits

• C$72,000 pa

Role

• Study schematics, manuals, work instructions and other specifications in order to understand installations, maintenance and repair procedures.
• Be familiar with various levels of software.
• Be prepared with appropriate tools and supplies.
• Follow Service Coordinators directions to respond to customer issues.
• Contact customers directly when required.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to carry out repairs and maintenance.
• Complete service reports and communicate results directly customers.
• Update service databases with all activities and expenses.
• Gather logs, document software issues and forward to the relevant department.
• Communicate service and customer issues back to Service Coordinators.
• Instruct and train customers on proper system usage.
• Follow up on all open issues as directed and work to provide solutions.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Field Engineer.
• Ability to read and interpret various electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and reference manuals.
• Knowledge of basic electronic theory.
• Ability to troubleshoot various systems.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Work well under pressure
• Ability to constantly hit deadlines
