Job summary

Finning Canada in Kamloops is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to trouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in a shop environment. Experience with forestry, construction and mining gear is beneficial, and the role interfaces with customers and sales support to ensure value.

This permanent position offers a 7x7 shift, full benefits, a pension plan, and paid time off in year one. Wages start at $50.25–$55.84 per hour plus a $3.55 per hour field premium, with overtime as applicable; CAT

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification (Red Seal preferred).
• Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr).
• Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems.
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in a shop environment.
• Interface with customers, products and sales support.
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment.
• Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements.

• This position is based out of Kamloops, on a 7x7 shift rotation
