Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking skilled Heavy Duty Mechanics to join the Mining Support Team at our Kamloops facility. You will work on projects at customer mine sites, perform NEP, PCRs and overhauls, and contribute to on-site safety and quality.

This permanent, site-based role offers 7 x 7 shifts, generous premiums, benefits and a pension plan, plus CAT dealer training and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification required (Red Seal preferred).
• 3+ years experience in assembly and disassembly, performing overhauls.
• 5+ years Off Road Mechanical Experience recommended.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Project-based work on customer mine sites.
• Completing required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communication.
• Interface with customer, product support and sales support.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be supporting major projects on customer mine sites performing, PCRs, NEP, overhauls, etc.

• Project based work

• Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirement

• Various related duties as required

Qualifications:

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification required (Red Seal preferred)
• 3+ years experience in assembly and disassembly, performing overhauls
• 5+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience recommended
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
• Understanding of the Caterpillar mining product line: 793D, 793F, D10T, D11, 24M is an asset

Important Details:

• This is a site position, on a 7 x 7 continuous shift rotation (potential day shift / night shift rotation, depending on customer requirements)
• A condition of employment requires the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (drug, alcohol and fitness testing) and the capacity to wear a respirator
