Responsibilities

• Ensure GNWT owned buildings are safe and operational.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks.
• Identify repairs and complete inspection reports.
• Train and mentor apprentices.

Skills

Ability to inspect plumbing systems

Knowledge of water systems and safe equipment operation

Ability to complete repairs according to Plumbing Codes

Ability to mentor and train apprentices

Ability to maintain accurate records

Basic electrical knowledge

Knowledge of working with hazardous materials

Ability to work with the metric system

Knowledge of Computer Building Operator Systems

Education

Journeyman Plumber/ Class 'B' Gas Fitter Certificate

3 years of related work experience

Class 4 driver's license
