Job summary

St. Albert Public Schools is seeking a Full Time, Probationary Floater Caretaker 2 to support facilities across the division. The role covers 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, at various schools with an hourly rate under the CUPE Collective Agreement.

The position requires basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals, ability to lift and move equipment, and a team-based work approach. WHMIS is an asset and prior cleaning experience up to 6 months is noted.

St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a Full Time, Probationary, Floater Caretaker 2 for a work assignment at various locations within the division

Hours of Work : 37.50hrs./week; 7.5 hrs./day Monday-Friday; Full Time, Probationary

Hours will be : Hours for this position will be decided upon by the Assistant Manager of Facilities Services.

Hourly Rate: $24.26 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement

Specific Needs/Requirements for this position:

• This work involves routine cleaning and minor maintenance tasks to maintain school buildings and property.
• Entry level knowledge of cleaning equipment operation as well as the chemicals and cleaning products used.
• Ability to lift and handle cleaning equipment and furniture.
• Basic knowledge of repair procedures.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Up to 6 months experience in building cleaning.
• WHMIS training would be an asset.
