Job summary

FORT MCMURRAY CATHOLIC SCHOOLS is accepting applications for a Cleaner at various FMCSD locations. The Cleaner performs cleaning and general maintenance of school interiors and exteriors, following established standards and routine safety checks.

Reporting to the Coordinator of Custodial Services, duties include cleaning classrooms, cafeterias, storage and boiler rooms, disposing of garbage, and minor maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• One year related work experience
• Ability to work independently
• Good interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of assigned building
• Clean cafeteria, lunch room, storage areas, utility service areas, furnace rooms and boiler rooms
• Clean lighting fixtures and replace light bulbs
• Collect and dispose of garbage/litter within building interior and exterior
• Perform minor maintenance not requiring a skilled tradesperson
• Perform other related duties as assigned
