St. Albert Public Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant 1 (EA1) for École Hillgrove School. This full-time, temporary role provides 30 hours per week (Mon-Fri) at an hourly rate of $25.89 under CUPE terms.

End date is June 29, 2027, with benefits per the Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan. Applicants should have post-secondary education in a related field and demonstrate experience with PBS, ILP/IPP goals, behavior management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support

St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a Full Time, Temporary, Educational Assistant 1 (EA1) for a work assignment at École Hillgrove School.

More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values.

Hours of Work :

30.0 hrs. /week; 6.0 hrs. /day; Monday-Friday; Full Time, Temporary

Hourly Rate:

$25.89 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement

Expected End Date:

June 29, 2027

Specific Needs/Requirements For This Position

• Proven experience implementing Positive Behavior Support (PBS) plan strategies
• Experience supporting students in achieving ILP and IPP goals
• Verbal Intervention Training is considered an asset
• Formal post-secondary education in a related field is preferred
• Experience using assistive technology to support student learning is an asset
• Strong skills in managing student behavior effectively and respectfully
• Experience collaborating as part of a multi-disciplinary team is an asset
• Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse learning and behavioral needs, including autism
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience supporting students in Division 1 and Division 2
