Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office or optical setting preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or Revolution.
• Strong medical terminology knowledge related to eye care.
• Front desk experience including scheduling, billing and insurance processing.
• Retail sales experience within optical/healthcare is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and compassionate patient care.
• Attention to detail and efficiency.
• Prior optical experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage front desk duties, including scheduling and check-in/out.
• Assist with patient care activities, including preliminary testing and vision screenings.
• Maintain electronic medical records using EMR systems.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist optometrists during eye examinations.
• Educate patients on optical products and frame selections to support sales.
• Manage inventory of optical supplies and assist with ordering.
• Support billing and insurance verifications related to visits.
• Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries.
• Collaborate with team to ensure clinic efficiency and satisfaction.
