Job summary

Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking a professional Table Games Dealer to provide dealing services and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. You will follow supervision and company policies while supporting a learning-oriented team culture.

Candidate must work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays, and be able to obtain a Gaming License. Prior dealing experience is required and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• One year professional Card Dealer experience or more.
• Serving it Right Certificate is required.
• Ability to obtain a Gaming License.

Responsibilities

• Deal card games for customers.
• Maintain the security of the table and float.
• Control play order and close bets on time.
• Refer disputes to the Manager.
• Verify chip refills and credits.
• Keep workstation and pit area tidy.
• Communicate with operational departments.
• Build relations with guests and team members.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities

• Deals card games
• Maintains the security of the table and its float
• Controls the table in the correct order of play; closes bets at the appropriate time
• Refers disputes, irregularities or suspicious activities to the Manager
• Verifies chip refills and credits
• Tidies workstation and pit area
• Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
• Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
• Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education And Qualifications

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays
• One year professional Card Dealer experience
• Serving it Right Certificate
• Other languages an asset
• Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License

Work Environment Considerations

Regular casino environment, standing for long periods of time, dealing cards for long periods of time and non-traditional work hours
