Job summary

Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking a Cash Handler to join our Cage and Slot teams. Under supervision, you will count and move cash from the gaming floor, ensuring policies are followed and security of cash assets.

You will count, secure, and reconcile cash, reporting any discrepancies and coordinating with relevant departments. Qualifications include a High School diploma, at least 1 year in high-volume cash handling, Smart Serve certification, and the ability to obtain a Gaming License.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in high volume cash handling and counting.
• Smart Serve certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Ability to obtain a Gaming License via Independent Gambling Control Office.

Responsibilities

• Counting bills, coins and cash equivalents.
• Organising and securing storage of count carts, drop boxes, drop buckets and bill cartridges.
• Reporting suspect cash and cash equivalents.
• Verifying and reconciling before and after counts.
• Bagging, bundling, securing and transporting counts.
• Providing information for reporting purposes.
• Communicating with operational departments.
• Building relationships with guests and internal teams.
• Ensuring compliance with licensing, health and safety regulations.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Reporting suspect cash and cash equivalents
• Verifying and reconciling before and after counts
• Bagging, bundling, securing and transporting counts
• Providing information for reporting purposes
• Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
• Building strong working relationships with internal and external guests
• Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
• Performing other duties as assigned or directed

Education And Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 1 year of experience in high volume cash handling and counting
• Smart Serve certification
• Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License via Independent Gambling Control Office
