Douglas College (BC) seeks an Executive Assistant to the Vice President Academic and Provost to provide confidential administrative support, screen matters, and elevate priorities for timely action. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to take minutes in a senior administration setting.
With a minimum five years in senior admin, completion of an Office Administration program (degree preferred) and hybrid work options for eligible positions, the
Pay Band 6 (Minimum- $67,893, Control Point- $90,524 Maximum- $95,050).
Placement within a salary band is typically up to Control Point based on skills, experience and internal equity. May place over Control Point in limited circumstances.
Reporting to the Vice President Academic and Provost, this position provides confidential administrative support to the Vice President and the Academic Division. The work often involves sensitive and/or highly confidential issues. This position is challenged to screen and identify matters which require the Vice President’s attention and to bring these forward in a timely manner. During the absence of the Vice President, this position is accountable for prioritizing and re‑directing issues to an appropriate source.
This position may be required to provide additional support to other senior leaders as necessary.

This temporary full-time position is available as soon as possible and goes until March 31, 2027. Regular hours of work are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday; some evening work will be required to support committees and events and during peak periods.
Travel between Douglas College’s locations as required.
