Description:

We are looking for a GSE Technician to inspect, service/maintain, and troubleshoot faulty equipment used to perform aircraft maintenance including but not limited to safety equipment, jacks, forklifts, vehicles and hangar equipment.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Inspect, diagnose and repair standard mechanical, electric and hydraulic equipment problems
  • Perform preventative maintenance of various equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and/ or maintenance schedule
  • Locate, and order parts required for maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs
  • Keep detailed and accurate maintenance records of all work performed
  • Responsible for traceability of parts issued from stores to assigned job tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum education High school diploma
  • G Class Driver’s License
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role preferred
  • Knowledge on hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems/ equipment
  • Ability to read, interpret and perform maintenance activities using operating/maintenance instructions and manuals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Forklift experience considered an asset
  • Machining experience considered an asset

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Working on the Hangar floor and outside building
  • Off shift call-in may be required
  • Ability to continuously stand/walk while performing work
  • Lifting, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and climbing are required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs to accomplish tasks/repairs
  • Able to work at heights or confined spaces
  • Periodic overtime may be required
  • Perform tasks in adverse weather conditions
