Job description

Job Summary:

The Field Service Technician is required to travel to customer locations and is responsible for commissioning, servicing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and tear down of specialized equipment related to shop service equipment. Travel is required when work is performed in the customer's shop.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues as they arise while keeping open communication all personnel
  • Maintain strong business relationship with all clients and stakeholders; respond to customer concerns in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Diagnose problems and advise operators on how to properly maintain equipment
  • Maintain records of services performed
  • Adhere to all NOV policies and procedures (Vehicle, safety, correspondence, housekeeping)
  • Upon supervisor request, you will be required to work in the customer's shop occasionally
  • Diagnose problems and advise operators on how to properly maintain equipment
  • Address issues as they arise
  • Communicate with Manager regularly, on all aspects of service
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience):

  • Experience in a mechanical repair environment
  • Hydraulic experience would be an asset
  • Driverabstractrequired
