Qualifications

  • Program and operate CMM equipment to inspect complex components with tight tolerances.

The Engineering Technician, Metrology position at Tesla supports research and development by measuring components and subassemblies, using inspection equipment that are quite advanced. It’s based in Langley and in practice this role works closely with engineers, machinists and other technicians.

This is a hands-on technical role where no two days are likely to be the same. Team members use a bunch of different metrology tools, prepare inspection reports and also help maintain specialized equipment.   • Can design hard gauges, which is considered an asset.
  • Have work background measuring components with very tight metric tolerances, including micron level measurements.
