About the opportunity:

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution and finalizing of projects according to strict deadlines, within budget, and with credible technical solutions. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of the team members and third-party contractors/consultants in order to deliver project goals.

Critical Success Factors:

  • Define project scope, targets and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Communicate project expectations/status to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Proactively manage changes within the project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Ensure all work performed by or on behalf of the company complies with company project management procedures and with all governing practices, codes and regulations.
  • Promote excellence in all activities, including the functional groups, to support safe operation, optimal quality, improved reliability and productivity, waste reduction and cost improvement.
  • Maintain awareness of new technologies as they relate to efficiency improvements, cost reductions, and workplace safety and product quality enhancements.
  • The Project Manager heavily influences the short and long term capital plan for the site. (Ingleside only)

What you will bring:

  • B.Sc. in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering)
  • Five or more years’ experience in Engineering within world class company
  • Experience within processes, such as CIP systems, pasteurization systems, sterilizers
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Financial and budgetary skills
  • Knowledge of food industry, maintenance instrumentation, PLC and Scada controls
  • Good communication, listening, and presenting skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing culture/environments
  • Ability to negotiate
