Job summary

Contract Professionals is seeking a well-connected Business Development Manager to lead our Canadian expansion across Western Canada. You will reactivate existing client agreements, establish new relationships, and position Contract Professionals as a trusted workforce partner for energy, engineering, and industrial staffing.

The role offers autonomy to shape growth strategy, working with recruitment, operations, and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of relevant business development or account management experience, strong network and market knowledge.
• Experience within engineering, oil & gas, technical or industrial staffing preferred.
• Proven ability to reactivate accounts and develop profitable client relationships.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a Canadian business development strategy across target markets.
• Reactivate existing agreements with major owner-operators by reconnecting with stakeholders and identifying workforce needs.
• Develop new client relationships to complement the Canadian footprint.
• Build relationships with decision-makers across engineering, projects, construction, maintenance, operations, procurement, and HR.
• Identify opportunities related to capital projects, maintenance programs, turnarounds, expansions, and ongoing operations.
• Lead prospecting, client meetings, proposals, and account planning.
• Collaborate with recruitment and operations to ensure delivery and client satisfaction.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and represent Contract Professionals at industry events and client meetings.
