Job summary

EllisDon Corporation is seeking a Project Manager in Halifax to lead construction management from pre-construction through to completion on institutional or commercial projects. You will coordinate design, budgeting, scheduling and subcontractor work while maintaining strong client relations and mentor a large team.

Expect to prepare tender packages, manage payments, present project progress to Owners and Architects, and forecast costs to safeguard cash flow.

Qualifications

Construction degree or diploma required.
At least five years of construction experience in a Project Manager role.
Knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software.

Responsibilities

Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion with design, coordination, budget and schedule.
Prepare tender packages and trade subcontracts.
Prepare regular, timely billings for Owners and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
Meet with Owners and Architects professionally and communicate concerns and interests of the company.
Monitor and forecast project cost reports to maintain positive cash flow.
Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to support the team’s development.
Submit project reports to Area Manager and escalate risks as needed.
