Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a Project Manager in Nova Scotia to lead construction projects from pre-construction through completion, coordinating design, scope, budget and schedule with the superintendent to ensure successful delivery.

You will prepare tender packages, subcontracts, and billings; meet with Owners and Architects; monitor cost reports and cash flow; and mentor a large project team while maintaining strong client relations. This role offers competitive compensation and inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Construction degree/diploma and five years of project management experience.
• Working knowledge of construction scopes, scheduling, and contract software.
• Ability to mentor a large team and maintain client relations.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion in conjunction with the Superintendent.
• Prepare tender packages and trade subcontracts.
• Prepare regular, timely billings for Owners and ensure payment of subcontractor billings.
• Meet with Owners and Architects professionally and communicate concerns and interests of the company.
• Monitor and forecast project cost reports to align with estimates and maintain positive cash flow.
• Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to support team progress and development.
• Submit project reports to Area Manager and escalate risks as needed.
