Job summary

EllisDon is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the Building Group in Canada to lead full project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, coordinating design, budget and schedule with the Superintendent and maintaining strong client relations.

You will prepare regular billings for Owners, monitor cash flow, lead meetings, and report progress while ensuring project health and safety metrics are tracked and communicated effectively.

Qualifications

• Construction-related degree/diploma required.
• 12+ years of construction experience in a Project Manager role.
• Strong ability to mentor and delegate to a large team and maintain client relations.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent
• Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for Owners, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
• Meet with Owners and Architects in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company
• Monitor, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow
• Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing development and progression
• Submit project reports to Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated
• Effectively compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly project health and safety statistics
