Job summary

Avance Insurance Services is seeking an Employee Benefits Service Associate to support the design, administration, and servicing of client benefit plans. You will onboard new group clients, manage service requests, and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely, accurate plan administration and ongoing client success.

You’ll work closely with business owners, HR professionals, and carriers, building strong relationships while delivering responsive service and effective plan communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in employee benefits, group insurance, financial services, or a related client service environment with an insurance brokerage or insurance carrier.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Life and Accident & Sickness (A&S) License, or willingness to obtain.
• Experience working with benefits administration platforms and carrier systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the onboarding and implementation of new group benefits clients.
• Gather required documentation and information to facilitate plan setup.
• Liaise with insurance carriers and client contacts to ensure a smooth transition and implementation process.
• Assist with employee enrollments, onboarding meetings, and communication materials.
• Track implementation timelines and follow up on outstanding requirements.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for business owners, plan administrators, and HR professionals regarding benefit-related inquiries.
• Respond to day-to-day service requests related to claims, coverage, eligibility, billing, enrollments, and plan administration.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers to resolve service issues and ensure timely follow-up.
• Support clients with online benefits administration systems and carrier portals.
• Assist with annual renewal activities, employee meetings, and ongoing client communications.
• Prepare and distribute plan summaries, forms, and employee communication materials.
• Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and electronic filing systems.
• Prepare client correspondence, meeting materials, and presentations.
• Track service requests and ensure timely completion of follow-up activities.
• Assist with carrier forms, contracts, amendments, and policy documentation.
• Coordinate client meetings and maintain service calendars.
• Support advisors with general account management and client service activities.
• Contribute ideas to improve workflows, service standards, and the overall client experience.
