Job summary

Windsor Regional Hospital in Windsor, Ontario is seeking an Emergency Department Quality Improvement Coordinator to lead initiatives that improve patient throughput and reduce length of stay for all ED patients. Reporting to the ED Director, you will collaborate with internal and external partners to advance Pay 4 Performance metrics and ED dashboards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health care or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of direct ED experience and/or project management coordination preferred.
  • Proven track record delivering projects using structured PM methods.
  • French language proficiency is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and plan the Emergency Department initiatives to improve throughput and length of stay.
  • Drive Pay 4 Performance metrics and use the ED dashboard to engage the team.
  • Support models of care and concurrent care initiatives with Ontario Health and ED leadership.
  • Facilitate CDU monitoring with providers.
  • Facilitate the management of flow of assessment, imaging, and labs with HIS in collaboration with the ED leadership.
  • Monitor LWBS metrics and follow-up needs of this population.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve admission avoidance and discharge.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with OHSA and promote a safe work environment.
