Applytoeducation seeks a BC-certified teacher for Eke Me-Xi Learning Centre, Port Hardy, BC. The 0.40 FTE temporary ELL position begins Nov 1, 2026 and runs until Jan 12, 2027 or until the incumbent returns.

The successful candidate will hold a B.Ed., be BC certified or eligible, and have experience with ELL learners, multi-age groups, and innovative teaching. A Remote Recruitment/Retention allowance of $3,500 over ten months applies.

Qualifikationen

• completion of a Bachelor of Education.
• certification by or eligible to become BC certified by the BC Teacher Certification Branch.
• university coursework and experience in assessing and working with learners in ELL programs.
• strong classroom management skills.
• the ability and energy to work with multi-age groups and meet the needs of students with a range of learning styles and abilities using a variety of teaching strategies.
• the ability and desire to work closely with staff in a team-oriented approach to teaching and learning.
• strong interest in innovation and inquiry; and
• ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices.
