What You’ll Do
  • Install, energize and maintain cathodic protection systems.
  • Field and install AC mitigation projects.
  • Obtain permits where required.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle, tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate and complete specific project task objectives.
  • Provide in‑field training and development of other team members.
General Responsibilities
  • Vehicle, trailer and equipment preventative maintenance.
  • Follow lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) procedures.
  • Remove existing impressed current cathodic protection rectifiers.
  • Remove miscellaneous existing cathodic protection/electrical components such as old remote monitoring units, old AC panels, old intermediate junction boxes, old conduit and connectors.
  • Install new impressed current cathodic protection rectifiers.
  • Raise existing impressed current cathodic protection rectifiers.
  • DC/AC cable terminations within rectifiers, negative drain panel junction boxes, remote monitoring unit enclosures, AC panels.
  • Pull permits from applicable provincial authorities within Alberta if required.
  • li>Assist in construction of new concrete pads for electrical stands.
  • Cable routing in trenches, excavations and conduit.
  • Assist in installation of anodes, calcined coke breeze, cabling, vent piping.
Operations Administration
  • Profitably deliver Corrosion Service’s products and services in the field.
  • Respond promptly to Customer/Project issues in cooperation with Junior/Senior Team Leaders and project staff.
  • Provide on‑site technical advice to team personnel as required.
  • Follow Corrosion Service’s and clients’ operations HSE procedures and policies.
  • Submit required reporting to Team Leads/Project Engineers.
  • Complete timesheets and expenses in a timely manner to ensure project costs are accurate.
  • Follow inventory removal/addition procedures to ensure accurate counts.
