Job summary

Aecon Concessions is seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to promote a strong safety culture on a North Ontario project. You will conduct orientations, trainings, and inspections, and drive incident prevention initiatives across site teams.

The role requires a valid G license, knowledge of construction safety regulations, and the ability to coordinate safety programs in a project-based environment. This on-site position offers growth and leadership opportunities within Aecon Concessions.

Qualifications

Experience in the construction industry in a Health and Safety role.
Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects.
Experience in project-based environments.
Knowledge of other Regulations, e.g., Electrical Utilities Safety Rules.

Responsibilities

Drive an inclusive culture and promote equity across teams.
Conduct health and safety orientation and site-specific safety briefings.
Coordinate safety trainings such as fall protection, WHMIS, First Aid, and high-angle rescue.
Perform workplace inspections and audits; support incident investigations.
Develop safety plans for emergencies and traffic management.
Assist with safety audits and return-to-work programs.
