Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking an EHS Advisor to promote a health, safety and environmental culture across project sites in Canada. You will lead orientations, training, and inspections, and work with teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Reporting to the EHS Director, you will coordinate WHMIS, First Aid, and emergency procedures, while supporting incident investigations and corrective actions. This role requires travel to diverse project sites in Ontario.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction health and safety.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario OH&S Act and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of WSIB and WHMIS requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate site health and safety orientation for workers, owners, and clients.
• Train supervisors and staff on Aecon Health, Safety and Environmental Manual.
• Coordinate training such as WHMIS, First Aid, and respirator use.
• Conduct workplace inspections and audits; investigate incidents.
• Develop emergency plans including evacuations and fall protection.
• Coordinate environmental issues and safety reporting to estimators for tenders.
