Business Development Manager (BDM)

Company: i3 International/i3 America

Location: Remote

Reports to: VP of Sales, Marketing

Travel: Required (client visits, U.S./Canada trade shows)

About the Role

As a BDM at i3 International, you’ll be the face of our brand—driving growth by building relationships and identifying new opportunities within a dedicated vertical. This role blends strategic planning, relationship-building, and hands-on execution. You’ll engage prospects via phone, email, video, and in-person, ensuring data accuracy in Salesforce and hitting sales targets.

You’re organized, tech-savvy (Microsoft 365, Google Drive), and a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Public speaking and data-driven reporting are well within your comfort zone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and qualify prospects using multiple channels
  • Build and execute sales strategies with leadership guidance
  • Manage CRM data with precision (Salesforce, Excel)
  • Attend trade shows and represent i3 with professionalism
  • Use sales collateral (videos, infographics, documents) to inform prospects
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets
  • Provide consistent reporting and insights based on prospect interactions
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives and campaign feedback
  • Participate in training, self-study, and quarterly industry reports
  • Collaborate with team members, eventually taking on leadership roles

Qualifications

  • College or university degree preferred
  • Sales experience required; experience in security, technology, SaaS, QSR, or C-store industry preferred
  • Proven experience with customer, technical demonstrations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, analytical, and results-driven

Compensation:

Base Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 per year (dependent on experience)

Commissions: uncapped
