Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in Financial Services with P&L reporting exposure.
  • Professional accounting/finance designations (CFA, CPA) are assets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Community College diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
  • 5+ years experience in Financial Services, with exposure to P&L reporting or operational processing.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams.
  • Professional accounting/finance designations (CFA, CPA) are assets.
  • Inquisitive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a drive to learn.
  • Experience with various financial instruments and cash flows.
  • Adaptive and flexible, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, data analysis, and macros (assets).

Your Role:

You will support client operations by verifying, reporting, and processing activities for Investment Managers, including trade settlements, collateral calls, and fund transfers. Key to success are professional engagement, timely reporting, and leadership in performance discussions, troubleshooting, and work allocation.

  • Oversee a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts, supporting them and your Manager while delivering high-quality client service.
  • Ensure effective team operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with the Manager.
  • Monitor process flows, assist as needed, and escalate issues.
  • Process daily payments and verify OTC derivative settlements.
  • Track payments, send reminders, and liaise with counterparties.
  • Prepare end-of-day transaction reports for clients and internal use.
  • Verify report accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI) in systems.
  • Collaborate internally and externally to improve processes and deliverables.
  • Support Account Managers and lead operational process rollouts.
  • Lead process and client relationship improvements.
  • Engage professionally with stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Monitor wire requests and ensure proper handling.
