Job summary

Evergreen School Division invites applications for a 0.5 hour per day Temporary Educational Assistant at Riverton Early Middle School, effective ASAP to June 30, 2027. The role supports students academically, socially and behaviorally, assists with communication and speech-language activities, and aids in daily routines and library tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Para Educator Certificate desired.
• Relevant training and experience.
• Course work in behavior management.
• Demonstrable computer/technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students academically, socially, and behaviorally
• Assisting with communication and speech-language activities
• Supporting individualized student programming
• Assisting with supervision and daily routines
• Assisting with library support duties, including acquisitions, cataloguing, assisting students and staff, book fairs, etc.
• Supporting student safety, personal care, and mobility needs as required
