Job summary

Evergreen School Division invites applications for a temporary Educational Assistant position at Riverton Early Middle School. The role runs ASAP to December 22, 2026, 5.75 hours per day from 8:45am to 3:30pm, with a one-hour lunch.

Duties include supporting students academically, socially, and behaviorally, assisting with communication and speech-language activities, and supervising field trips. The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 or equivalent, a Para Educator Certificate preferred,

Qualifications

• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Para Educator Certificate desired.
• Course work in behavior management.
• Demonstrable computer/technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students academically, socially, and behaviorally.
• Assisting with communication and speech-language activities.
• Supporting individualized student programming.
• Supervising and accompanying students during field trips or off-site work/recreational experiences.
• Assisting with supervision and daily routines.
• Assisting with library support duties, including acquisitions, cataloguing, assisting students and staff, book fairs, etc.
• Supporting student safety, personal care, and mobility needs as required.
