Job summary

Evergreen School Division in Manitoba is seeking a Temporary Educational Assistant at Riverton Early Middle School, effective ASAP to December 22, 2026. The position runs 5.75 hours per day from 8:45am to 3:30pm with a 1-hour lunch.

Responsibilities include supporting students academically, socially, and behaviorally, assisting with communication and speech-language activities, and helping with daily routines and field trips as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Para Educator Certificate desired.
• Relevant training and experience.
• Course work in behavior management.
• Demonstrable computer/technology skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driver abstract.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students academically, socially, and behaviorally.
• Assisting with communication and speech-language activities.
• Supporting individualized student programming.
• Supervising and accompanying students during field trips or off-site work/recreational experiences.
• Assisting with supervision and daily routines.
• Assisting with library support duties, including acquisitions, cataloguing, assisting students and staff, book fairs, etc.
• Supporting student safety, personal care, and mobility needs as required.
