Zusammenfassung

Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking an Educational Assistant for a 50% term position (17.5 hours per week, 12:30pm-4:00pm). You will support students with exceptional needs, implement special programs, and assist with therapy and mobility activities within classrooms.

Ideal candidates hold a college diploma in Developmental Services Worker or Child and Youth Care, with 1–2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifikationen

• DSW/CYW or equivalent diploma required or equivalent experience.
• Experience with students with exceptional needs preferred.
• First Aid/CPR and safety training are assets.

Aufgaben

• Provide support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental disabilities.
• Modify programs and support learning for students with learning disabilities and speech/language issues.
• Assist with pool duties, gross motor activities, toileting, and lifting as required.
